Hired is a video series that gets new team members' take on what their first 30 days on the job are like at Venn.
Meet Kylie Jones, Integration Consultant. We ask her all the big questions every job applicant needs to hear—from company culture to role-specific opportunities.
I really enjoy putting my focus on problems people are facing and how we can help solve them using integrations. A lot of our clients run into issues unique to their own processes, and it’s fun for me to discover creative solutions that work best for their use case.
I’ve felt really welcomed by everyone that I've worked with. The team has been really excited about answering my questions. Leadership has been very understanding and accommodating—you can tell they don’t just “talk the talk” about work-life balance. I can tell everyone’s really dedicated to making Venn a great place to work.
I was surprised by how all of our clients are excited to work with us. They have a lot of confidence in us and trust in our work. They reach out to us whenever they have questions, and the partnership we have with them seems to be of value to them.
I do feel like I have everything I need to be successful. The training is available and the onboarding was smooth, which was a pleasant surprise for a small company.
I can see that a lot of confidence has been placed in me to do great work independently. There's no one always looking over my shoulder and there's no micromanaging. That alone makes me want to prove myself and show how much I’m capable of.
In the next 30 days, I have two projects that I'm starting off as the lead consultant. On one hand it’s a little intimidating because so far I've just been sitting in on meetings and doing a little bit of the integration work. Then again, I'm really excited to start taking the lead in asking clients questions and discussing what automation solutions we can help them with.
