What do you like about your position so far?
The thing I like about being a project manager is it combines both my love of people, processes, and organization. You get to work hard in getting things organized for projects while interacting with people a lot.
Do you feel welcomed by the team?
I got engaged a few weeks before my first day with the company, so the team had set up balloons in my office to celebrate that when I came onboard. It was really fun to show up for my first day of work and feel super celebrated.
What do you think of the company culture so far?
The thing I like about Venn, and what really stood out in my interviews and during my first week, is that they really work hard. They present excellent work to every client, and they also know how to have fun and enjoy every day at work.
What motivates you to come to work?
I am a hard worker. I enjoy doing heads down type of work as a project manager. During my first week and a half, it's been fun learning how Venn uses its resources to build integrations for other organizations. To have a company that focuses on automating and smoothing out processes, it's easy to come into work and tell myself I can work hard so other people can do good work for their companies.
What are you hoping to accomplish in the next 30 days?
I’d love to learn more about my role. I've been doing a lot of training for the last week, and so practically being able to partner with other project managers on calls will be fun. Then, I'm looking forward to having my own projects.
