What I've learned about this position so far, is the more I learn about what we do and how well we do it, there is just so much more opportunity than I think I expected coming in here. And as a sales guy, there's nothing better than that.
I'm feeling very welcomed by the team, but I also came in with a case of bourbon, so I'm not sure if they're welcoming me or welcoming the free gifts, but either way, it is a heck of a team. And, yes. Feeling very welcomed.
Company culture is as advertised. It is a very fun group of people, but they also take their work very seriously.
I wasn't surprised about anything joining the team simply because I had a man on the inside. Prior to joining the company, I've had a buddy in a past life that has made himself very comfortable here. If I had to answer something that was surprising, I'd have to give it to company meals. I've never been a part of a company that uses the kitchen like they do at home.
I do. I don't require much. I've got a cell phone and an eager marketing team. I have recently learned that there are about 20,000 potential customers that are on one of the software that we thrive in.
If you asked me that question a few months from now, that motivation will be closing new business and celebrating those wins with my team. For now, the motivation comes from the responsibility that I'm thrilled to have. That is, I get a say in who we're going after and the industries that we get to target and the folks that we get to bring into this business as partners. So, for that, I'm thankful and thrilled.
For me, in the next 30 days, I'd like to have my own success stories, have my own companies that I'm responsible for, that I've gone out and shared the Venn message, and I've brought them in. I think for my first 30 days, I've learned a lot about the folks that Venn has worked with, why they worked with us, what's made that partnership successful. So, for me, for the next 30 days, I'd like to create my own.
