And if you’ve seen a few of our other videos, you’ll know our answer is, “of course you can! But…” In this case, the but really is a question of approach. Each system has great, very well-built, well-documented, and well-tested APIs which can be used to push and pull information, however, there are many questions that need to be considered before a plan is executed upon.
For instance, leading with “how do these systems currently work together,” or “which of my team members need access to which data,” and “how often do we need data to go from one system to another,” or “which system should be the master for which piece of data or workflow?” In short, it’s important to go into an integration of this magnitude with eyes wide open and an understanding that even well-oiled machines are breathed into existence on a napkin first.
TLDR: yes, yes they can. If you’re curious what questions you should ask to give it the best chance at success, give us a call.
Bjørn hails from Tallinn, Estonia, and wears multiple hats here at Venn (mostly fur). He's got a knack for making the right connections and having the right conversations—which, in our business—is the name of the game. He's a blast to have around the office and brings a fresh new perspective to the party. Now, if we can only get him to leave the thermostat alone (55° is a tad low for us Texans).
